The zinc powder is highly reactive and serves as the source of electrons during the battery's discharge cycle.Once the anode, cathode, and separator are in place, the battery is sealed. A brass nail or pin is inserted into the center of the battery to serve as the negative terminal, and a plastic gasket is used to insulate the positive and negative terminals from each other. The top of the battery is then crimped or welded shut to ensure a tight seal, preventing leakage of the electrolyte and maintaining the battery's integrity.After sealing, the batteries undergo a series of quality control tests to ensure they meet performance and safety standards. These tests may include checking for proper voltage, capacity, and leakage. Batteries that pass these tests are then labeled, packaged, and prepared for distribution.Throughout the manufacturing process, strict environmental and safety protocols are followed to minimize the impact on the environment and protect workers.
